Contraindications
Progeffik Capsule 100mg containing peanut oil; contra indicated in patients with allergy to peanut. Precautions: Liver dysfunction, hormone-sensitive conditions.
Indications
PMS, Secondary amenorrhoea.
Dosage
Adults (ORAL): PMS/Females: Prevention of endometrial hyperplasia (Women with uterus receiving daily conjugated oestrogen tab): 200 mg single dose daily every evening for 12 days sequentially per 28-days cycle. Adults(ORAL): Amenorrhoea: 400 mg every evening for 10 days. Children: Not recommended.
Interactions
Rifamycin, anticoagulants, antidepressants, antidiabetics, anti-epileptics, antifungals, antivirals, aprepitant, barbiturates, bosentan, cyclosporin, diuretics, dopaminergics, lipid-regulating drugs, muscle relaxants.
Adverse effects
Dizziness, headache, fatigue, emotional lability, abdominal pain/distension, musculoskeletal pain.
