Description

Indications

Smecta Powder is Symptomatic treatment of painful symptoms associated with oesophagogastroduodenal and colonic diseases. Treatment of acute and chronic diarrhoea, particularly in children.

Dosage Adults:

Take Smecta Powder 3 sachets daily in 2-3 divided doses, mixed in a glass of water. In acute diarrhoea the daily dosage can be doubled at the beginning of treatment. Administer preferably after meals in oesophagitis, in between meals in other indications. Retention enema: 1 to 3 enemas per day of 1 to 3 sachets mixed in 50 to 100 mL of warm water.

Children:

Under 1 yr, 1 sachet daily; 1-2 yr, 1-2 sachets daily; over 2 yr, 2 to 3 sachets daily. Each daily dose to be administered in 2-3 divided doses. The contents of the sachet can be mixed in a bottle with 50 mL of water or broth, stewed fruit, mashed vegetables, baby food.
