Description
Indications
Reducid 20mg is primarily indicated in conditions like Benign gastric and duodenal ulceration, Benign gastric ulcer, Duodenal ulceration, Duodenal ulcer, Duodenal ulcer relapse prophylaxis, Reflux oesophagitis, Zollinger-ellison syndrome, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Dyspepsia, Heart burn.
Contraindication
Reducid 20mg is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity, Gastric malignancy.
Side Effects
Reducid 20mg produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Blood dyscrasias. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Reducid 20mg therapy. The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Reducid 20mg include Hypotension, Tachycardia, Emesis, Restlessness. The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Reducid 20mg are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dizziness, Headache, Diarrhea, Constipation, Bradycardia, Jaundice, Mental confusion, Hypotension, Renal failure, Epidermal necrolysis.
Warnings
Reducid 20mg should be used with caution in patients with impaired kidney or liver function. Intravenous injection should be given slowly and intravenous infusion is recommended in patients with cardiovascular impairment.
High Risk Groups
Drug should not be given to Pregnant Mothers, and patients suffering from Kidney dysfunction.If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
