Indications

Pepcidine 40mg is primarily indicated in conditions like Benign gastric and duodenal ulceration, Benign gastric ulcer, Duodenal ulceration, Duodenal ulcer, Duodenal ulcer relapse prophylaxis, Reflux oesophagitis, Zollinger-ellison syndrome, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Dyspepsia, Heart burn.

Side Effects

Pepcidine 40mg produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Blood dyscrasias. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Pepcidine 40mg therapy.The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Pepcidine 40mg include Hypotension, Tachycardia, Emesis, Restlessness. The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Pepcidine 40mg are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dizziness, Headache, Diarrhea, Constipation, Bradycardia, Jaundice, Mental confusion, Hypotension, Renal failure, Epidermal necrolysis.
