Description
Pregnancy
Osstium Powder Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Precautions: Predisposition to thromboembolism; interferes with colorimetric measurements of calcium in blood and urine.
Indications
Post-menopausal osteoporosis.
Dosage
Adults: 1 sachet daily in water, preferably at bedtime. Avoid food for 2 hr before and after taking granules, particularly calcium containing products, avoid concomitant antacids containing aluminium and magnesium hydroxide for 2 hr after taking granules. Children: Not recommended.
Advice to Patient
Take oral form atleast 2 hours after meals, milk, milk products or calcium supplements. Dissolve only in plain water and immediately drink it. Preferably, it is taken at bedtime.Osstium Powder
Pharmacokinetics
Absorption: Slow. Metabolism: Not met ab olized. Bioavailability: Absolute: 25%. Calcium or food decreases the bioavailability by about 60-70%. Half-life elimination: 60 hrs. Time to peak, plasma: 3-5 hrs. Excretion: Via renal and GI tract.

Antibacterials Osstium Powder.
Adverse effects
Osstium Powder Nausea, diarrhoea, venous thromboembolism, headache, derm atitis, eczema, very rarely vomiting, abdominal pain, stomatitis and hypersensitivity reactions, including rash, pruritus, urticaria and angioedema. Severe allergic reaction have been reported.
