Description

Indications 

Alcaine Ophthalmic is primarily indicated in conditions like Bladder irrigation, Ear,eye,nose and throat irrigation, Gingivitis, Perodontal diseases, Preoperative disinfection of unbroken skin, Stomatitis, Thrush, Tonsillitis, Urethral irrigation, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Burns, Wounds.

Side Effects 

The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Benzalkonium (CI) include Death, Vomiting, Convulsions, Coma, Collapse, Restlessness, Muscular weakness, Cyanosis, Dyspnea, Apprehension, Paralysis of respiratory muscle., The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Benzalkonium (CI) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Allergic contact dermatitis.

Contraindication 

Alcaine Ophthalmic is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity.

Warning 

It is contraindicated during pregnancy in high doses causes high risk of birth defects also behavioral changes and skin changes.
