Humalog Kwikpen Mix 50 is primarily indicated in conditions like Iddm, Type Il diabetes mellitus.

Side Effects

The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Humalog Kwikpen Mix 50, which give rise to further complications include Wheezing, Hypoglycemia, Hives, Lipoatrophy, Muscle Cramps, Difficulty in breathing. The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Humalog Kwikpen Mix 50 are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Headache, Constipation, Peripheral edema, Pharyngitis, Allergic reactions, Redness, Cough, Rhinitis, Swelling at injection site, Infection, Swelling of feet.

Warnings

Hypoglycemia is the most common adverse effect associated with insulins, including Humalog Kwikpen Mix 50. As with all insulins, the timing of hypoglycemia may differ among various insulin formulations. Glucose monitoring is recommended for all patients with diabetes. Any change of insulin should be made cautiously and only under medical supervision. The requirements for insulin may be reduced in patients with renal impairment. Although impaired hepatic function does not affect the absorption or disposition of Humalog Kwikpen Mix 50, careful glucose monitoring and dose adjustments of insulin, including Humalog, may be necessary.
