Important information
You should not use this medication if you have ever had an allergic reaction to Adfolic 300mcg.
Before you take Adfolic 300mcg, tell your doctor if you have kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis), an infection, if you are an alcoholic, or if you have any type of anemia that has not been diagnosed by a doctor and confirmed with laboratory testing.
Talk to your doctor about taking Adfolic 300mcg during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Adfolic 300mcg is sometimes used in combination with other medications to treat pernicious anemia. However, Adfolic 300mcg will not treat Vitamin B12 deficiency and will not prevent possible damage to the spinal cord. Take all of your medications as directed.
Side Effects
Along with its needed effects, Adfolic 300mcg may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
- Fever
- general weakness or discomfort
- reddened skin
- shortness of breath
- skin rash or itching
- tightness in chest
- troubled breathing
- wheezing
