Description

Indications

Fasigyn Tablets 500mg is primarily indicated in conditions like Abdominal surgery prophylaxis, Acute leukemia, Amoebiasis, Anaerobic infections, Giardiasis, NSAID-associated ulceration, Prophylaxis of acid aspiration in obstetric patients, Trichomoniasis, Upper gastro-intestinal and breast cancer.

Side Effects

Fasigyn Tablets 500mg produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Hypotension, Dyspnea, Bronchospasm, Facial edema, Laryngeal edema, which are responsible for the discontinuation of Fasigyn Tablets 500mg therapy. The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Fasigyn Tablets 500mg are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Headache, Nausea, vomiting, Urticaria, Thrombophlebitis, Metallic taste.

Warnings

Fasigyn Tablets 500mg should be used with caution in patients with any allergy. Avoid use during pregnancy or lactation. Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this medication as severe stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, headache and flushing can occur.
