Description
Indications
Rexa-Becarb 50ml Inj is primarily indicated in conditions like Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Chronic acidotic states, Hyperkalaemia, Metabolic acidosis, Muscle spasm (acute), Relief of discomfort in mild UTIs, Renal acidosis or in severe metabolic acidosis of any origin, Severe shock due for example to cardiac arrest, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Cardiac arrest, Urinary alkalinization.
Contraindication
Rexa-Becarb 50ml Inj is contraindicated in conditions like Hypocalcaemia, Metabolic alkalosis, Respiratory alkalosis, Hyper osmolarity, Hypoventilation,Chloride depletion.
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Rexa-Becarb 50ml Inj , which give rise to further complications include Hypokalemia, Seizures, Metabolic alkalosis, Lactic acidosis.Rexa-Becarb 50ml Inj produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Pulmonary edema, Hyperventilation, Paradoxical acidosis, Volume overload. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Rexa-Becarb 50ml Inj therapy. The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Rexa-Becarb 50ml Inj are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Flatulence, Necrosis, Abdominal pain, Sloughing, Chemical cellulitis, Ulceration, Hypernatremia, Tetany, Reaction at injection site.
Warnings
Avoid overdose and alkalosis by giving repeated small doses. Rexa-Becarb 50ml Inj should be used with caution in patients of CHF (congestive heart failure). It should be used with caution in patients with stomach disorders or allergies.
